Part numbers

How to read the GF number

Every element we supply has its own Globe Filter number. It tells you which brand the element replaces and its filtration grade – so reordering the right one is easy.

K11 µm

Coalescing filter – removes water and oil aerosols.

K010.1 µm

Suffixes after the code: R = reverse flow · H = high temperature · D = duplex · S = silenced · P = push-fit.

Why the filter matters

Protect your installation – every operating hour

Air from the compressor carries water, oil and particles. The right filter element stops them before they reach machines, tools and products. Without correct filtration you risk:

01

Damaged production equipment

Oil and particles wear valves, cylinders and tools.

02

System breakdowns

A blocked or wrong filter can stop the whole line.

03

Production downtime

An unplanned stop costs far more than a new element.

04

Higher operating costs

High pressure drop means the compressor uses more power.

Technical details

How the elements are built

The products are independently tested in cooperation with IUTA (Institute for Energy and Environmental Technology) in Duisburg, in accordance with ISO 8573 and ISO 12500. Here is what is inside the elements – and what it means for your operation.

In-line filter elements in several sizesCutaway of an in-line filter element with the seven layers numbered
SERIES 01

In-line filter elements – layer by layer

Standard elements are built as multi-layer depth filters (multi-wrap), with support cylinders both inside and outside. The numbers refer to the picture:

  1. Inner support cylinder – perforated stainless steel
  2. Pre-filtration layer – normal flow (in → out)
  3. Borosilicate micro glass fibre – 97 % voids volume
  4. Pre-filtration layer – reverse flow (out → in)
  5. Outer support cylinder – perforated stainless steel
  6. Anti re-entrainment sleeve – sonically welded polyester needle felt
  7. Glass-filled nylon end cap – corrosion resistant
Max. operating temperature 120 °C · Burst pressure 5 bar · Depth filtration, multi-wrap design
  • Elements for harsh environments – high temperature, sterile air, CNG and hot ammonia – are supplied with an adapted construction.
  • Reticulated foam outer sleeves are available on request.
Air/oil separators with outer metal support meshAir/oil separator elements
SERIES 02

Compressor air/oil separators

The separator ensures that oil is returned efficiently to the compressor. A planned maintenance schedule prevents compressor stress, reduces the chance of breakdowns and decreases running costs.

  • Designed to work in harmony with the compressor – same fitting dimensions and performance as the original.
  • Batch tested as standard. 100 % testing of every element is available if required.
  • Planned replacement at the service interval prevents breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
Oil mist filters and separators for vacuum pumpsVacuum pump separators with different end caps
SERIES 03

Vacuum pump separators and oil mist filters

The oil mist filter sits in the exhaust chamber of the vacuum pump and captures, coalesces and returns oil to the system. Elements are tested in-house with a DOP (dispersed oil particulate) photometer.

  • Expanded metal inner and outer support sleeves – minimum pressure drop even at high flow.
  • Pre-filtration layer protects the main medium in both normal and reverse flow.
  • Multi-wrap technology: particles penetrate 40 % into the media, giving high retention with minimal pressure drop.
  • Up to 97 % voids volume in borosilicate micro glass fibre – long service life with continued low differential pressure.
  • Lantor non-woven fabric outer sock withstanding constant 120 °C.
  • Batch tested as standard, 100 % testing on request.
High-pressure stainless-steel filter housingHigh-pressure elements with stainless-steel end caps
SERIES 04

High-pressure stainless-steel filter housings

Housings for standard compressed air and gas – and for extreme operating conditions with high or low temperatures and mechanical stresses such as vibration. Used in chemical, environmental, gas, pharmaceutical and plant-engineering applications.

  • Available in several grades of stainless steel, with BSP or NPT threads as standard – other connections on request.
  • Designed to meet the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and ASME VIII Div. 1.
  • FEP-encapsulated (Teflon®) silicone O-rings – chemically resistant and capable of constant 204 °C.
  • Elements with stainless-steel end caps for high temperatures and aggressive gases.
  • Every housing carries a unique serial number for full traceability.
OVR oil vapour removal cartridgeOVR cartridge seen from above
SERIES 05

OVR cartridges for oil-free air

Where air must meet ISO 8573-1 Class 0 or Class 1, the OVR (oil vapour removal) cartridge is a more economical alternative to traditional loose-filled carbon towers – built to replace the original OVR series directly.

  • "Snow storm" filling lets an additional 12 % of activated carbon settle within the cartridge.
  • Specially designed air channelling increases contact time, combats attrition of the adsorbent and avoids blockage of downstream filters.
  • Consistent outlet air quality over 12 months of continuous operation.
  • Clean and effortless change-outs with minimum downtime.
Filter element for a medical autoclaveClose-up of the filter medium
SERIES 06

Filters for medical autoclaves

The autoclave filter supplies the sterile air admitted when the vacuum formed by condensed steam is broken in the chamber. Used in chiropody, dentistry, surgery and veterinary practice.

  • Membrane removing particles down to 0.01 micron – viruses, bacteria and bacteriophages.
  • Designed to sustain 50 steam sterilisation cycles before replacement, and meets the requirements of BS EN 285.
  • Supplied with a detachable pre-filtration sock protecting the high-efficiency medium.
  • Corrosion-resistant materials for demanding conditions.
Accessories: We also supply condensate management systems, auto-drains, filter housing O-ring kits, activated carbon granules for servicing carbon towers and other desiccants. Contact us for details.

Frequently asked questions

Questions and answers

Can't find your answer here? Call us on +47 401 50 004 or send an email – we respond quickly.

What does the satisfaction guarantee mean?

We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the products – from installation to replacement. If you are not, you get your money back.

What is a GF number?

It is our own part number. It shows the brand the element replaces, a serial number and the filtration grade – e.g. GF-AC4120-K1. Search for the original number to find the GF number.

Will the elements fit my existing filter housing?

Yes. The elements are produced with fitting dimensions identical to the original – end caps, spigot, seals and length – so they mount directly in the existing housing without modification.

How do I find the right filter?

The easiest way is to enter the original part number in the product search. If you don't have the number, the brand and model are enough – or the element dimensions: end cap diameter (A), spigot diameter (B) and length (L).

What quality are the elements?

The elements are made in Europe, largely by hand, in ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing and meet or exceed OEM specifications. The products comply with the ISO 8573-1 and ISO 12500 air quality standards.

What is the lead time?

The elements are produced to order and shipped directly to your address. The exact delivery time is confirmed in the quotation – you always get a date before you order.

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver across the Nordics and Baltics: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – with the same point of contact and the same terms.

My brand isn't on the list – can you help?

Usually, yes. With the element dimensions (A, B and L) we can identify the correct replacement for brands outside the list too. Feel free to send a photo of the element as well.

Do alternative filters affect the compressor warranty?

Using replacement parts of equivalent quality does not in itself normally affect the warranty. We still recommend checking the terms of your service or warranty agreement if the installation is within its warranty period.

How do I order?

Use the product search on this page, email post@globefilter.no or call +47 401 50 004. You receive a no-obligation quote with price and delivery time before you decide.

Ready to cut your filter costs – without compromising on quality?

Send us the part number of the filter you use today and receive a no-obligation quote. We reply in English, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish.
